Glorious Day

Today is a glorious day. I had the privilege of attending a talk from Dr. Scott Hahn. The talk took place at Villa de Bruno in Lynwood, IL. I was at a location that was very close to Indiana. Anyway, the talk lasted for most of the day. There were three talks, each one lasted for an hour and fifteen minutes. The three talks started off with the Lamb's Supper, Letter and Spirit and Reasons to Believe. As always, it was enjoyable listening to Dr. Hahn.

Today is also the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows or the Seven Sorrows of our Lady. Today's feast commemorates the suffering our Blessed Mother endured in her lifetime.

What are the seven sorrows?
  1. The prophecy of Simeon (Luke 2:25-35)
  2. The flight to Egypt (Matt 2:13-15)
  3. The loss of the Child Jesus (Luke 2:41-50)
  4. Meeting of Jesus on his way to Calvary (Luke 23:27-31; John 19:17)
  5. Crucifixion and death of Jesus (John 19:25-30)
  6. Jesus' body taken down from the Cross (Luke 23:50-54; John 19:31-37)
  7. The burial of Jesus (Luke 23:50-56; John 19:38-42; Mark 15:40-47)
