It seemed that Christmas just passed and now Lent is coming. Lent is once again upon us. In the Eastern church, they call it the Great Fast. Which already started as of yesterday. We, of the Western-rite, start Lent on Ash Wednesday. Remember to go to church even though it is not a holy day of obligation.
It is that time again where we learn to control our desires, to tame our passions. Will you be giving up something? Or will you be adding towards something. Remember the basic stuff: fasting & abstinence, alms giving and thinking of what the Christ-God has done for us with his human body.
Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory to Him forever!
